The Henry Morrison Flagler Museum preserves Whitehall, the estate of Henry Flagler, the noted railroad baron. The museum both chronicles the life and times of Flagler and the Florida East Coast Railway and serves as a local art museum.

The William S. Hart Park is located less than an hour from Los Angeles, CA, and is a historic house museum consisting of the former home and ranch of William Hart (1864-1946), a noted silent film director. The mansion contains original furnishings, an impressive collection of Western Art, and artifacts from early Hollywood and Native American tribes. Visitors to the mansion can also enjoy the rest of the ranch grounds, which have been fully restored to their state in the early 1900s.

In 1968, the Rankin House at 1440 Second Avenue was donated to the Historic Columbus Foundation in memory of James Waldo Woodruff, Sr., a visionary community leader. Fully restored, its first floor is an 1850-1870 house museum and Research Library. On the second floor are the main offices of Historic Columbus Foundation, Inc. The Rankin House was built during the Civil War for James Rankin, a notable planter and owner of the Rankin Hotel. The home is notable for its beautiful Victorian architecture.

"Adirondack Architectural Heritage (AARCH) is the nonprofit historic preservation organization for New York State's Adirondack Park. AARCH was formed in 1990 with a mission to promote better public understanding, appreciation and stewardship of the Adirondack's unique and diverse architectural heritage." AARCH focuses not only on the most famous architectural pieces in the region, such as the "Great Camps," but also on historic structures that cover the general history of people in the Adirondack Region.

The organization offers area guided tours, workshops, slide presentations, and outreach programs for students. The website offers historical information about AARCH, information about key preservation sites, including Adirondack fire towers and the White Pine Camp, a listing of publications for sale, an archive of past newsletters, an events calendar, and preservation resources.

The Society maintains two historical museums. The Majors-Parchman House Museum, a restored 1883 Victorian cottage, retains its original outbuildings and displays an extensive artwork collection. The Franklin County Historical Museum, located in Mount Vernon's Old City Hall, presents exhibits on area history with additional natural history exhibits.

The Wichita County Heritage Society preserves and presents the history of Wichita County. The Society operates the Kell House Museum, a restored 1909 neo-classical home, that, according to the Society's website, "features distinctive architecture, original family furnishings, textiles, decorative arts, and historic costumes."

The center was first created in 1987 with the mission to purchase, protect, and provide public access to the Randolph Linsly Simpson Collection. The collection contains over 7,000 pieces of art, artifacts, and archives; and documents more than 300 years of African American History. A highlight of the collection is over 2,000 photographs which range from vivid images of slave life through some of the most memorable news photos of the Civil Rights movement.

The center offers exhibits and group tours. Reservations are required for all group visits. The 1898 Castle Federal building is located in downtown Saginaw, Michigan. The building was saved from demolition by the Saginaw County Historical Society, and was put on the National Register of Historic Places in the 1970s. Today, the building operates as a museum of Saginaw County history as well as a monument to its own architectural and functional history. The building houses a library and archives, offices, meeting spaces, an archaeological lab, and a repository, as well as ample exhibit space for the museum.

The museum offers summer camps and tours for students. The website offers visitor and historical information regarding the Castle building, an online museum store, a listing of current exhibits, and an events calendar.

The Drake House Museum is located in Planfield, NJ, and is owned and operated by the Historical Society of Plainfield. On permanent display in the house are three Colonial era rooms, the kitchen, the Queen Anne dining room, and the Washington bedroom. In addition, the parlor and Harberger Library are interpreted as period Victorian rooms. Thus, visitors to the house can view the house as it was throughout the early history of New Jersey.

The site offers brief historic and visitor information, an events calendar, information about the "Traveling Trunk," a traveling exhibits that shows a virtual tour of the house as well as several house artifacts, and an online newsletter.

The museum is currently closed for renovation.

The Howard County Historical Society is dedicated to maintaining and showcasing the history of Howard County, IN. To this end, the society owns and operates a county historical museum which is located in the Seiberling Mansion, a beautiful 1891 Queen Anne and Romanesque Revival structure which has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places. In addition to the museum, the society runs a local history archives, which features thousands of archives and manuscripts chronicling Howard County's history. The archives are open to the public by appointment.
