Description

The center presents photographs and memorabilia depicting Florida history. Conservation of the coastline and the impact of the Florida East Coast Railroad are explored through the exhibits, which include fossil shells and Seminole artifacts. Changing displays are also featured.

Fort Mims

Description

Fort Mims site commemorates the Fort Mims battle which took place August 30, 1813. The attack on Fort Mims is considered a leading cause of the Creek War of 1813-1814.

Spotsylvania Preservation Foundation, Inc. (SPFI)

Description

The Spotsylvania Preservation Foundation Inc. (SPFI) of Virginia was established in 1988 to help preserve and protect Spotsylvania County's natural and historic resources. We are concerned with the preservation of natural habitats, archaeological sites, historical landscapes and structures of historical and architectural significance.

The foundation offers lectures.

Trading Path Association

Description

The Association seeks to preserve, study, and promote the remnants of the historic Trading Path which once connected the Chesapeake country with towns in the Carolinas and Georgia.

Carroll County Historical Society and Gordon Browning Museum

Description

The Society operates the Gordon Browning Museum, a publicly-supported museum and repository for documents, images, and artifacts that represent the history and culture of Carroll County, Tennessee. The museum is named in honor of the two-time Governor of the State of Tennessee Gordon Browning and contains numerous papers, photographs, and personal effects of the former governor.
