The Patriots Point Naval and Maritime Museum presents U.S. Naval and air history and technology via a collection of Navy vessels and World War II, Korean War, Vietnam War, Desert Storm, and modern military planes. The USS Yorktown, a World War II aircraft carrier; 24 historical military aircraft; the USS Laffey, a World War II destroyer; the USS Clamagore, a Cold War Balao-class submarine; the USCGC Ingham, a World War II and drug bust cutter; a Congressional Medal of Honor exhibit; a Vietnam War Naval Support Base Camp replica; and the Cold War Submarine Memorial are all located on site.

The museum offers traditional and interactive exhibits, guided group tours, self-guided tours, a youth overnight program, curriculum-based history and science educational programs for students, scavenger hunts for students, youth leadership and history seminars, two snack bars, and food options in the mess hall. The mess hall only offers food between April and November. The USS Laffey, USS Clamagore, and USCGC Ingham offer little to no wheelchair accessibility. Groups must contain at least 15 paid visitors.

The USS Laffey is closed until further notice for repairs.

The Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine preserves Fort McHenry, defensive site of the 1814 Battle of Baltimore. It was this battle that inspired Francis Scott Key to write the poem "The Star-Spangled Banner," now the U.S. national anthem.

The site offers an introductory video, self-guided tours, exhibits, period rooms, a flag change program, educational programs for students, and Junior Ranger activities. During the summer, the site also offers talks; weekend living history interpreters; musket, drill, and artillery demonstrations. Three weeks advance notice is required for school visits. Blandwood Mansion was the home of John Motley Morehead, one of North Carolina's most influential governors. The home was built by Charles Bland in 1795 and functioned as a residence until 1906. Blandwood is also America's oldest Italianate style mansion.

School tours of the mansion are offered free of charge.

Master builder Isaiah Davenport built the Davenport House as his family residence in 1820. The home is designed in the Federal architectural style, and is open now as a historic house museum.

The Crockett Tavern Museum is located in Morristown, TN, on the site of Davy Crockett's birthplace. The museum is focused on chronicling the life and times of famed explorer and pioneer Davy Crockett, and features a variety of pioneer and Davy Crockett historical artifacts.

The Marksville State Historic Site is located on a bluff overlooking the Old River, and was the site of an Indian ceremonial ground. The site is believed by archaeologists to have national significance, and is thought to have been created by a subset of the Hopewell Indians of Ohio. The site is a National Historic Landmark.

The historic site offers guided tours, as well as exhibits and presentations in the park's visitor center. The website offers a history of the site, visitor information, and a short video commemorating the historical significance of the site.

The Brierfield Ironworks Historical State Park is located in Brierfield, AL, and is the site of the Bib County Iron Works, the Confederacy's most productive Iron Works during the Civil War. Today, the Brierfield Ironworks Park consists of the ruins of the Bib Ironworks as well a many carefully reconstructed pioneer-style homes and structures.

The park offers hiking trails, guided tours, re-enactments, and other special events. The website offers visitor information, a history of the Ironworks, and a calendar of events.

The Coastal Heritage Society is dedicated to preserving the history of Savannah, Georgia, and the Georgia coastline. The society runs four historic sites, the Savannah History Museum, the Roundhouse Museum, Old Fort Jackson, and the recently completed Battlefield Park, which commemorates the 1779 Battle of Savannah. The society also boasts C.S.S. Georgia, a Civil War Ironside that was used as a floating battery for Savannah's protection.

The 7-acre Tannenbaum Historic Park preserves a portion of the farmstead of Joseph Hoskins, used to host British troops for the 1781 Battle of Guilford Courthouse. The site presents rural life prior to, during, and after the Revolutionary War via a heritage center, the 1813 Hoskins House, a restored 1830s barn, and a replica period blacksmith shop and kitchen.

The 1859 Italian Renaissance Revival-style Hay House is a historic house museum, which largely contains pieces from 1926 to 1962. In those years, the Hay family occupied the house. Parks Lee Hay founded Banker's Health and Life Insurance Company. At the time of construction, the house was already outfitted with hot and cold running water, an early intercom system, indoor bathrooms, heating, and a ventilation system. Tours focus on these features and on the architecture itself.

The house offers period rooms, guided tours, traveling trunks for kindergarten through eighth-grade students, nine curriculum-based programs for kindergarten through high school students, homeschool programs, and educational programs for teachers.
