The Society maintains a Museum and the Rothschild House. The Museum, housed in the restored 1892 Port Townsend City Hall building's former municipal court room, fire hall and jail spaces, presents exhibits illustrating the lively history of local communities born in waterfront forests over 150 years ago. The 1868 Rothschild House invites visitors to step back to the 1800s; it is virtually unchanged from a hundred years ago.

The Association operates several historical sites in the county. The Tippecanoe County Historical Museum is housed in the Gothic Revival home built by Moses Fowler in 1851–1852; Fort Ouiatenon recreates an early French trading post blockhouse (1717–1791); and the Tippecanoe Battlefield memorializes the 1812 battle between Indiana Territories and Shawnee forces.

The Society operates a museum housed in a 1939 Coast Guard Lifeboat Station. Exhibits in the main building explore the Coast Guard on the South Beach, cranberry growing, life on the edge of the ocean, whales and whaling, and lighthouses.

The Society owns and maintains several historical sites, including the 1742 Square Tavern, the 1860 Bartram Bridge, and the Paper Mill House Museum. This building provided housing, beginning in the 1770s, for industrial workers who worked in the mills along Darby Creek. A large addition was added circa 1820. The older section was converted to a general store, circa 1845, to provide for the needs of the workers. Darby Creek runs through the property to the east of the building. The building, now owned by Newtown Township, has been restored to house permanent historical exhibits.

Founded in 1966, the Society provides visitors with a doorway to the past from its Regional History Center in historic Bethel Hill Village. Open year-round, the Bethel Historical Society's Regional History Center offers more than a dozen period rooms and exhibit galleries where visitors can discover and explore the area's varied past. The Society's museum and library collections include a wide range of materials documenting the heritage of northern New England, with a major focus on western Maine and the White Mountain region of Maine and New Hampshire. Throughout the year, the Society provides lectures, courses, special exhibits, craft demonstrations, and educational activities for both members and the general public. The Robinson and Mason Houses also offer exhibits and tours.
