Visitors can explore Trinidad’s past and its place in the American West at the Trinidad History Museum. The museum features several attractions on one block in Trinidad's acclaimed historic district. The Baca House and Kitchen Garden is a unique adobe home which evokes the lifestyle of community leaders Dolores and Felipe Baca and their children. Heirloom herbs and vegetables thrive in the garden. The Bloom Mansion and Historic Gardens preserve the Victorian home of banker and cattle baron Frank Bloom. The Santa Fe Trail Museum is a historic adobe building housing family heirlooms, commercial goods, and photographs that tell the stories of the people and events of Trinidad's past.

The President Calvin Coolidge State Historic Site presents Calvin Coolidge's (1872-1933) boyhood home, which also served as the site where he was sworn in as the 30th President of the United States following the death of Warren Harding. The site has been restored to its appearance in 1923, the year in which the aforementioned event took place. In addition to Coolidge's home, the public can also visit the Plymouth Cheese Factory, created by Coolidge's father; a general store; a church; several barns; the dance hall turned temporary White House; heritage gardens; and the home in which Coolidge was born.

The museum offers period rooms and exhibits on Coolidge's life, horse-drawn vehicles, and farming equipment, among other topics.

Samuel Bell Maxey and his wife, Marilda, moved into their fashionable new home on the south side of Paris, TX, in 1868. Built in the High Victorian Italianate style, the frame house, plus book house and stable, were a progressive addition to the city's architecture and a proper home for the ex-Confederate general and later United States Senator. Maxey moved to Paris with his family in 1857. Construction of the house began in 1867 and it was remodeled in 1911. Members of the Maxey family lived in the house until 1966. The house has been restored and furnished to reflect almost 100 years of continuous use by the Maxey family.

The 217-acre Olmstead Place State Park contains a working pioneer farm. Structures include an 1875 log cabin, a 1908 farmhouse, and numerous outbuildings.

The park offers exhibits, tours, interpretive activities, and a picnic site.

The Historic Sheridan Inn opened in 1893. William F. "Buffalo Bill" Cody (1846-1917), leased the interior shortly thereafter. Important figures who stayed at the inn include Herbert Hoover and Ernest Hemingway.

The inn offers guided tours of all three floors and self-guided tours of the first floor. The website offers architectural plans and elevations.

The Pardee Home Museum is the centerpiece of Oakland's Preservation Park Historic District, and is a phenomenal piece of 19th century architecture. The home was built by California Governer Enoch Pardee who became famous for his handling of the enormous earthquake in 1906. The home was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976, and today stands as a historic house museum.

The home offers tours and an educational curriculum for fourth through sixth graders. The curriculum corresponds to collections inside the home. The website offers visitor information and basic historical information regarding the home.

The Old Cowtown Museum is a living history museum where visitors can experience life in the midwest during the 1870s. Old Cowtown consists of a visitor's center, which offers exhibits and visitor information, as well as a fully reconstructed pioneer town. The reconstructed town contains a residential section, a blacksmithing shop, a business area, and a farm.

The museum offers educational programs, including tours tailored for specific grade groups; wagon rides; costumed interpreters; historic structures furnished with time period furnishings; and special events such as lectures, reenactments, and special interpretive events. This Federal-style mansion contains a family collection that spans five generations. Visitors can see artifacts from near and far, hear the stories of the Phillips family, and experience over 200 years of history in the New England tradition.

Ventfort Hall is an Elizabethan-style mansion built in 1893 for Sarah Morgan, the sister of J. P. Morgan. Designed by the architects Rotch and Tilden, it is located in Lenox, Massachusetts, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The home is also home to the Museum of the Gilded Age. Currently, the home is partially restored, and contains exhibits, presentations, and special events that give visitors a view into life during the Gilded Age.

The Society operates the Historical Center, in the 1913 Second Ward Savings Bank building, as well as several historical sites, including Trimborn Farm, Jeremiah Curtin House, Lowell Damon House, and Kilbourntown House. Trimborn farm lets visitors take a giant step back into pioneer times. They can delve into Victorian-era industry, reminisce about 19th-century farm life, and witness Wisconsin culture come to life as embodied by the immigrant entrepreneur Werner Trimborn, his family, and his employees. With help from a stone mason, Irish immigrant David Curtin built the first-of-its-kind stone Jeremiah Curtin House in the Old Town of Greenfield in 1846. Started in 1844 by Oliver Damon and completed in 1847 by his son Lowell, the Lowell Damon House is Wauwatosa's oldest residence and stands as a classic example of a colonial home. Built in 1844 by Benjamin Church, Kilbourntown House was originally located in the area of Milwaukee known as Kilbourntown. This building was moved to Estabrook Park in 1938 and serves as a fine example of Greek Revival architecture.
