The Keizer Heritage Museum presents the history of Keizer, Oregon. The museum is housed in a 1916 Craftsman-style schoolhouse.

The Demuth Museum presents the life and art work of Charles Demuth (1883-1935), as well as his historic late 18th-century family home. Demuth developed the artistic style called Precisionism; and he primarily utilized watercolors and oils. Next door is the Demuth's tobacco shop, established 1770, making it the oldest tobacco shop in the United States. The shop operates as a retail business, and is not part of the museum.

The Museum reveals the history of the San Joaquin region, from the Yokuts and Miwok through Captain Charles Weber (founder of Stockton and first farmer in the area) and the development of modern agriculture. The Museum has eight exhibition buildings, four historic buildings—including the Charles Weber cottage (1847) and Calaveras School (1866)—and features room dioramas of Weber family furnishings, a children's gallery, and large displays of hand tools and agricultural equipment.

The museum offers exhibits, research library access, educational programs, and occasional recreational and educational events (including living history events).

St. Ignatius Mission is an 1890s religious structure located in the present-day Flathead Indian Reservation. The mission contains 61 paintings by one of its brothers. Paintings include depictions of the Salish Lord. A museum presents artifacts related to both the mission and Native American peoples.

The Eiteljorg Museum of the American Indians and Western Art presents Western-themed works of art and cultural information on Native Americans nation-wide. The museum collections are particularly strong in Plains and Southwest Native American artifacts. Displays emphasize Native American cultural diversity. Artworks include Modernist pieces, contemporary works in traditional manners, and the works of the Taos Society of Artists (1915-1927).

The museum offers museum and thematic guided tours, optional field trip studio activities led by artists-in-residence, hands-on cart programs, an interactive children's exhibit area, library access, 10 educational programs, and sack lunches. Reservations are required for school groups, as well as for any sack lunch needs. The website offers audio and video podcasts, a teacher's guide, educational activity suggestions, and lesson plans.

The Catawba County Firefighters Museum presents the history of firefighting in Catawba County, North Carolina. Collections include communication devices, a 1936 American LaFrance fire engine, a 1906 municipal alarm system, and an early 20th-century uniform.

The museum offers exhibits, fire safety lectures and films, and a picnic site.

The Derby Historical Society seeks to preserve and share the histories of Ansonia, Derby, Oxford, Seymour, and Shelton, Connecticut. To this end, the society operates the General David Humphreys House. David Humphreys (1752-1818) was a personal friend of George Washington; and became the first U.S. ambassador, assigned to Portugal. The house has been furnished in the style of mid 18th century.

The society offers walking tours and an educational role-playing program designed for fifth graders, the Day in 1972 Program.

The Fort Verde State Historic Park commemorates Fort Verde, which was in use between 1865 to 1891, rendering it an Indian Wars period fortification. By 1865, area settlers had demanded protection from the local Native American peoples, and the Army responded by sending volunteer units—almost entirely of Mexican heritage. A number of original structures still stand. Visitors can enter three historic living quarters (those of the commanding officer, bachelors, and the doctors and surgeons), furnished in the style of the 1880s.

The park offers exhibits, period rooms, an introductory film, and a picnic area.

The Frick Art and Historical Center consists of the personal collections of Helen Clay Frick, daughter of Henry Clay Frick (1849-1919)—industrialist, steel tycoon, and major art connoisseur. The center includes the museum and Clayton, the Frick family's late Victorian home. The collection includes carriages, historic automobiles, and fine and decorative arts dating as far back as the Renaissance. Highlights include works by Jean-François Millet and an 1898 Panhard automobile.

The center offers themed tours of both the museum and Clayton, Act 48 educators' workshops, concerts, children's weekend workshops, summer camps, and more than 25 educational programs. The website offers lesson plans.

Westville is a living history museum which emulates an 1850s west Georgia village. Numbering over 30 total, the restored antebellum structures include businesses, residences, a church, a schoolhouse, and a courtyard.

Westville offers costumed interpreters and group tours. Reservations are required for group tours.
