The General Rufus Putnam Hall was constructed in 1823 by the Olive Branch of the Master Masons. After 1844 it was used as a school and for several years as a meeting place for the DAR. When the first-floor schoolroom was vacated it became space for the Town Library. In 1984 the Library was moved into the Town Hall and the Town voted to allow the Historical Society usage of the building. Today, the building houses the Rufus Putnam Museum and Office, displaying artifacts from local history.

The organization seeks to preserve and maintain the Bath area's architectural heritage through the creation of a historic district commission, the promotion of stewardship, and the use of protective covenants. The Museum is a 7,200-square-foot facility located on the main level of the Sommet Center. History Colorado, the Colorado Historical Society, is a Smithsonian Affiliate that operates a variety of museums and historic sites in locations throughout the state that each highlight different periods of Colorado's history — from Victorian house museums, military and trapper/trader forts, an operating historic steam train and tour of a historic silver mine mine to a host of historical museums, such as the Ute Indian Museum, El Pueblo History Museum, Trinidad History Museum, and more. The main museum in Denver, where its rich historical collections are housed, has closed and will be replaced by the History Colorado Center, which is under construction. As a new statewide tourist destination, a thought-provoking center for civic conversation and an environment that encourages an inspirational journey into the future by understanding the past, the History Colorado Center will house all new, highly dynamic exhibits and educational experiences. During the construction period, History Colorado's education department continues to offer workshops, lectures, walking tours, and other educational and recreational events in Denver, as well as special events taking place at the statewide museums. In addition to the new museum and education/public programs, the History Colorado Center will contain the Office of Archaeology and Historic Preservation, the State Historical Fund, the State Historic Preservation Office, the Stephen H. Hart Research Library, and other History Colorado functions. Administrative functions will open in 2011. The opening date for the museum and public programs is not yet set.

Formed in 1956 to respond to the proposed demolition of a number of 18th- and early 19th-century houses on College Hill, the Providence Preservation Society (PPS) has grown to a citywide preservation organization. With a large membership, a professional staff, and countless volunteers, the Society is able to provide a broad range of services that fulfill its mission to improve the quality of life in the city of Providence through historic preservation and the enhancement of the built environment. Society activities include the Festival of Historic Houses, advocacy, tours for school children, homeowner resources, and many other events and programs.

The Klyne Esopus Museum is housed in a former Dutch country church built in 1827. The museum offers a variety of exhibits about the culture, commerce, and history of the town of Esopus.

This 2,800 square foot beautiful Eastlake architectural style Victorian home built in 1895 features 10 rooms and five fireplaces. Visitors can see what life was like for Rosson House residents of Block 14, owners and tenants both, in early Phoenix during Arizona's late territorial times all in its original location.

The Museum displays historic firefighting equipment and memoriabilia. The most prominent items in the museum's collection are two fire engines, a 1921 American LaFrance and an 1899 Wilkes hand-drawn hose cart. Among the thousands of badges, patches, sprinkler heads, and firefighting gear are many unusual items, including a burlap "salvage bag" and a wooden Japanese fire extinguisher.

The Association's Museum displays exhibits interpreting the area's history from the earliest recorded times (1600) to the present day through its collections of paintings, maps, furniture and decorative arts. Special exhibits are regularly presented on North Country themes, including iron mining and other 19th-century industries. Collections feature Redford Glass, Staffordshire china, portraiture, photographs, and textiles.
