The Goodhue County Historical Society seeks to preserve and share the history of Goodhue County, Minnesota. To this end, the society operates the History Center. The 70-acre Stan Hywet Hall and Gardens is a historic house museum. The Tudor Revival manor was built in 1912; and reflects the architecture of Charles S. Schneider (1874-1932), interior design of Hugo F. Huber, and landscaping of Warren H. Manning (1860-1938). Manning favored naturalistic, as opposed to heavily stylized, garden design. The residence is intended to be visually complementary to its surrounding environment. Guests who visited the estate owners, the Sieberlings, included Shirley Temple (born 1928) and Will Rogers (1879-1935). Other structures on site include the Gate Lodge, site of a conversation among Henrietta Seiberling and two men suffering from alcoholism which would determine the guiding principles of Alcoholics Anonymous, as well as a reproduction of the original greenhouse. The Lodge contains an exhibit on the founding of Alcoholics Anonymous.

The estate offers an exhibit, period rooms, gardens, self-guided manor tours, guided manor tours, other guided tours, educational programs for students, traveling trunks, educational outreach presentations, teacher's workshops, a children's club, Scout programs, and collections access. Appointments are required for collections access. Two weeks advance notice is required for group tours. Boxed lunches can be provided with five days advance notice.

The Historical Society of the Town of Warwick, New York seeks to preserve and share the history and historical structures of Warwick, New York. To this end, the society offers several museum buildings. These include the 1764 Shingle House, the 1890 Lehigh and Hudson River Railroad Caboose, circa 1825 Sly Barn, the 1819 Old School Baptist Meeting House, the 1810 House, the 1766 Baird's Tavern, and the Carriage House at Baird's Tavern. The 1810 House grounds contain a wheel garden; the Sly Barn contains a wide variety of farming tools and household appliances; and the Carriage House holds a recreated circa 1900 rural doctor's office.

Freetown Village presents the history and culture of the approximately 3,000 free African Americans known to have been living in Indianapolis, Indiana in 1870. The content focus is on the Fourth Ward, which is Indianapolis' oldest African American settlement.

The village offers a summer camp for five through 14 year old children, interactive plays, spiritual music performances, and hands-on children's workshops. With the exception of the summer camp, all programs are available as outreach programming in Indiana and nearby states.

The Virginia Sports Hall of Fame and Museum commemorates and honors outstanding Virginia athletes, sports journalists, coaches, and other influential sports figures. Topics addressed through exhibits include college sports, sports media, the Redskins, automobile racing, golf, the Olympics, major historical and current Virginia sports events, nutrition, and sports medicine, among other items.

The hall offers an introductory film, traditional and interactive exhibits, hands-on activities, racing simulations, educational programs which meet state standards, school educational outreach programs, teacher workshops, and Scout programs.

The Soldiers and Sailors Military Museum and Memorial presents the military history of Pennsylvanians from the Civil War to the War on Terrorism, and commemorates the veterans and fallen of past and present military action. Exhibits include a wide range of wartime artifacts and artwork, including a comprehensive range of prosthetic limbs and military headgear. All military branches are represented.

The museum offers exhibits, one-hour or 270-minute guided educational tours, 150-minute guided educational tours with hands-on activities, outreach presentations, camps, and Scout programs. The National Museum of Civil War Medicine presents the technological techniques and changes made in medicine between 1861 and 1865, as well as the stories of those involved with Civil War-era medicine—soldiers, medical practitioners, and their families. Topics include medical education, recruitment, camp life, evacuation of the wounded, field dressing stations and hospitals, embalming, and modern military medicine. Frederick, Maryland, site of the museum, was the location of forty Civil War skirmishes and battles. The museum has an additional location at the Pry House Field Hospital Museum on the Antietam National Battlefield. This site focuses on the development of first aid and emergency medicine during the 1862 Battle of Antietam, also known as the Battle of Sharpsburg.

The History Center of Olmstead County presents the history of Olmstead County, Minnesota. To this end, the center operates as a museum. The museum includes rooms devoted to the decorative arts; a hands-on children's cabin; and exhibits on topics which include IBM, St. Mary's Hospital, the 1883 Rochester tornado, and historical medicine. Artifact collections include textiles, military, decorative arts, Native American, agricultural and mechanical, and medical items. The center also operates the Mayowood Estate historic house museum. Erected in 1911 as the home of Dr. Charles H. Mayo, cofounder of the Mayo Clinic, Mayowood now contains period rooms.

Women in History seeks to increase awareness of women's impact on U.S. history through dramatic re-creations of the lives of notable female figures. Costumes are period or patterned from period pieces, and hairstyles are created by a specialist in historic hair design. The organization is able to portray more than 100 historical figures.

The organization offers presentations, which generally include two 25-minute living history presentations by costumed "historical figures," an opening and closing, and time for questions and answers. The organization also offers two programs designed specifically for elementary and middle school students.

The Pender County Museum presents the history of Pender County, North Carolina. Collection highlights include a whiskey still, historical farming equipment, decorative arts pieces, World War II artifacts, and medical artifacts.
