The California Automobile Museum presents more than 160 historic automobiles, including hot rods, race cars, classic cars, muscle cars, and early models. Vehicles in the collection range from an 1882 horse-drawn wagon to a 2003 Fuel Cell Mercedes Benz Necar 4A. Permanent exhibits address clean fuel alternatives, vehicles until 1906, vehicles between 1906 and 1918, pre-Depression vehicles, Depression vehicles, cars designed to impress, speed vehicles, and the evolution of automotive technology.

The museum offers exhibits, family programs, guided student tours, outreach speakers, and research services. Reservations for student tours must be made at least two weeks in advance. A fee is charged for research conducted upon request.

The Martin House Complex of Buffalo, New York is one of architect Frank Lloyd Wright's masterpieces. Completed in 1907 for Mr. and Mrs. Darwin D. Martin, the complex includes the in D. Martin House, the George F. Barton House, the Martin pergola, conservatory, carriage house and Gardener’s cottage. Currently some of the buildings are undergoing renovation.

The Caldwell Heritage Museum presents the history of Caldwell County, NC. Collections include medical, musical, and military artifacts, as well as historic cameras. Permanent exhibits detail county history from pre-colonial times to present day. Exhibit topics include local Native Americans, pioneers and the Revolutionary War, county formation, the Civil War, the fire department, railroads, furniture and industries, the military, children's lives, vernacular tools, local schools, and Davenport College. The museum is located within the final Davenport College structure. The college offered higher education opportunities to women between 1855 and 1933.

The museum offers exhibits and a reading and listening room. If local schools are closed, dismissed early, or have delayed openings due to weather, the museum schedule will be altered for the day.

The Chenango County Historical Society Museum presents the local history of Chenango County, NY. The museum is housed within the 1892 Ward School No. 2. Exhibits address Native American life, railways, the Chenango Canal, china, glassware, military history, costume, Victorian life, pioneer life, and local craft and medical trades. The site also includes an 1800 through 1850 period room and an 1854 schoolhouse.

The Tennessee State Library and Archives collects publications and archival materials relevant to the history of Tennessee. Collections include manuscript materials, birth and death records, census records, county records, governors' papers, military records, Native-American and African-American records, newspapers, maps, photographs, postcards, state records, and Tennessee legislative records.

The Historical Society of Cecil County seeks to preserve and share the history of Cecil County, MD and its people. To this end, the society operates a research library and museum. The library offers 12,000 newspapers, more than 2,000 books, souvenir booklets, pamphlets, various photographic media, letters, wills, land records, receipts, organization records, and other materials. Museum collections include furnishings, Victorian dollhouses, local artworks, and other artifacts. The museum's permanent exhibits address military history, log home living, country stores, and kitchens in early colonial America.

The Windham Textile and History Museum presents the history and influence of the U.S. textile industry. Particular focus is given to 1870 through 1920 cotton thread manufacturers in eastern Connecticut; the ethnicity, duties, and recreation of mill workers; and the role of mill managers and employees in U.S. industrialization. The museum is housed within two 1877 structures, once part of the Willimantic Linen Company complex.

The museum offers exhibits, 90-minute guided student tours, hands-on activities for students, slide presentations for students, outreach programs for students, and research library access. The library offers materials on mills, immigration, Connecticut history, and textiles. The website offers PowerPoint presentations for use in the classroom, short videos, and worksheets.

The National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame honors courageous and independent women of America's western frontier, mid-19th century through present. Interactive exhibits include the opportunity to learn to saddle a full-scale pony model. Select other exhibits address arena sports, rodeo fashion, bronc riding, rodeo evolution, oral histories, ranching, cowgirl equipment, and cowgirls in dime novels and on the screen. The museum exterior features artworks by sculptor Mehl Lawson and painter Richard Haas.

The museum offers an 8-minute introductory film, other thematic films, interactive and traditional exhibits, interactive guided group tours, outreach speakers for students and adults, Western lifestyle workshops and courses, school tours, 45-minute distance learning programs for students, a traveling trunk, educator workshops, and research library access. Group tours must include 15 or more visitors, and be scheduled at least two weeks in advance. Library access is by appointment only. Wheelchairs are available for use on site. The South River Museum—Old School Baptist Church presents the history of South River, NJ. Exhibit topics include education, religion, everyday life, business, and local organizations and festivities. The area Baptist population erected the museum building in 1805 as a place of worship, and the church cemetery includes a memorial by sculptor John Frazee (born 1790).

The Madeline Island Museum presents the history of Madeline Island, WI and its people. An original 1835 American Fur Company building contains exhibits on Ojibwe life and the mixing of Native American, British, American, and French cultures instigated by the fur trade. Other exhibits address 19th-century trades and hand tools, 19th- and early 20th-century settler life, leisure and tourism, and Protestant and Catholic missionary activity. Other structures housing exhibits include a historic jail, an 1890s barn, and a home built in memory to a drowned sailor. Collection highlights include an 1862 Fresnel lens, religious texts translated into Ojibwe, a boat winch, and a maple-sugaring kettle. The grounds also include fortifications similar to those created by the French in the 17th and 18th centuries.

The museum offers films, exhibits, lectures, workshops, group tours, student tours, educational programs for third through fifth grade students, student tours of La Pointe village, and a fur trade traveling trunk. Group tours and field trips are available by appointment only. Group tours must be scheduled for mid-June through September, and field trips are offered in May and early June. The traveling trunk is available November through March.
