The Ships of the Sea Museum presents the history of 18th- and 19th-century Atlantic maritime trade and travel between England and America. The museum is located within the 1819 Greek Revival Scarbrough House, historic home of the president of the Savannah Steamship Company. Exhibits topics include vessel models, maritime art, steamships, scrimshaw, the Civil War, and shipbuilding. The garden design is based on 19th-century parlor gardens. The gardens include Savannah's historic official federal weather station.

The Savannah History Museum presents the history of Savannah, Georgia, from its founding in 1733 to present day. Exhibit topics include the Revolutionary War Battle of Savannah, women's costume of the 19th and 20th centuries, 19th-century dugout canoes, railway history, weaponry, and military uniforms. Collections consist of more than 10,000 artifacts. The museum is located in the Central of Georgia Railway passenger shed, completed in the 1860s.

The Rome Historical Society seeks to preserve and share the history of Oneida County and Rome, NY. To this end, the society operates a museum of local history which covers the Ice Age through present day. Permanent exhibits address Iroquois life, manufacturing, daily life, area canals, forts along the Carry, and the dairy industry.

The society offers exhibits, a multimedia presentation, guided group tours, educational kits, outreach speakers and slide presentations, and archive access. Reservations are required for guided tours. Appointments are recommended for archive use.

The 1,683-acre Chippokes Plantation State Park contains a working plantation site, founded circa 1619. The site's main residence is known as the Jones-Stewart Mansion. The plantation grounds house gardens and the Chippokes Farm and Forestry Museum, which presents circa 1850 Virginian farming life. Exhibits include farm building, soil preparation, planting, cultivating, harvesting, blacksmiths' tools, wheelwrights' tools, cobblers' tools, coopers' tools, farm animals, processing, preserving, small tools, and house ware. Many exhibits depict the evolution of tools used for a particular task. Collection highlights include a wooden tooth cultivator and a plow, designed to be pulled by oxen.

The park offers exhibits, mansion tours, an interpretive forestry trail, guided group museum tours, curriculum-based museum educational programs, recreational trails, outdoor activities, overnight facilities, a snack bar, and a picnic complex. Mansion tours and museum access are available April through October. Picnic shelters can be reserved. The snack bar operates Memorial Day through Labor Day. The museum can customize educational programs.

The C. Grier Beam Truck Museum presents 70 years of Carolina Freight and national trucking history and artifacts. The site is located at a historic gas station associated with the 1932 founding of Carolina Freight.

The American Sign Museum presents the history of the United States sign industry and the impacts thereof. Collections include more than 3,000 artifacts—signs, sign making tools, sketches, models, and other items. Signs range from classic gilt lettered pieces to neon and novelty signs.

The Greater St. Louis Air and Space Museum presents the impact of St. Louis, Missouri on the history and development of aerospace technology. The first manned balloon flight (1836), first parachute jump from an aircraft (1912), and the making of Mercury and Gemini spacecraft all occurred in the St. Louis area. Collection highlights include Mercury spacesuits, letters written by Charles Lindbergh, and vintage airline schedules. The museum is located within a historic aircraft hangar at the Saint Louis Downtown Airport.

The Portland Fire Museum presents the fire history of Portland, Maine. The collections include historic firefighting apparatus, vehicles, uniforms, photographs, and fine arts.

The Underground Gold Miners Museum presents the history of Alleghany, California and its mining district; the Sixteen to One Mine; and area geology. Areas of focus include underground hardrock mining technology and equipment, as well as the lives of California's underground gold miners. The Sixteen to One Mine remained an active gold mine between circa 1896 and 1965.

Historic Bethlehem presents and interprets three centuries of life within Bethlehem, PA. The site consists of a visitor center, the Kemerer Museum of Decorative Arts, Moravian Museum of Bethlehem, Burnside Plantation, Colonial Industrial Quarter, and Goundie House. The Kemerer Museum of Decorative Arts discusses the history of the Lehigh Valley in the 18th through 20th centuries via a collection of decorative arts. The museum also hosts toys from the 1830s to 1930s. The Moravian Museum of Bethlehem, housed within a 1741 structure, presents the lives of Bethlehem, PA's Moravian founders. The Burnside Plantation consists of a barn and farmhouse dating to the 18th and 19th centuries. The site was once home to a Moravian missionary active in local politics. The Colonial Industrial Quarter consists of the 1869 Luckenbach Mill; Miller's House; 1762 Tannery; 1762 Waterworks, the first pumped town water system in the U.S.; and the restored working Blacksmith's Shop. The 1810 Federal Goundie House presents exhibits of local history.

The site offers exhibits, period rooms, group site tours, educational programs for students, a student outreach presentation, a traveling trunk, walking tours, Segway tours, lectures, and step on guides. Note that participants must weigh between 100 and 250 pounds for the Segway tours.
