The Andres Pico Adobe is one of the oldest residences in the City of Los Angeles. It represents a bygone era and the rich historical past of the San Fernando Valley. Inside are museum displays of native American beads, Mission and Spanish-Mexican era artifacts, costumes and clothing that span more than a century, and furniture from the Victorian era, when the Adobe was home to members of the Pico family.
The Peña-Peck House was constructed around 1750 by order of the King of Spain to be the residence of his royal Treasurer, Juan Esteban de Peña. The Peña-Peck House sits on St. George Street at the heart of the historic district. Built of native coquina stone, it is the finest surviving First Spanish Period home in the city. Today the loggias and the first floor remain little changed.
The Trust maintains the historic Sehner-Ellicott-von Hess House. This was the very building where Captain Meriwether Lewis trained with nationally renowned surveyor, Andrew Ellicott, on those navigational skills vital to the success of the famed Lewis and Clark Expedition and now serves as the headquarters of the Trust. Visitors are welcome to tour this finely restored example of Georgian architecture and its exhibits outlining the story of its restoration and most famous inhabitant, Andrew Ellicott.

Timothy Cheney, farmer, miller and one of America's famous clock makers, built the Cheney Homestead about 1785. A brook to the south of the home afforded water for the grist mill which he operated with his son George.
On October 25, 1798, George Cheney brought his bride, Electa Woodbridge Cheney, to the Homestead to "keep house". To the couple were born eight sons and one daughter. With the exception of George Wells who had died, and Seth and John who became well-known artists, the brothers joined in establishing the Mt. Nebo Silk Company. The firm later incorporated as Cheney Brothers and became world famous as a leader in the silk industry.
The Homestead, built in 1787, is the historic home of Vermont's founder Ethan Allen and his bride, Fanny. The Homestead provides visitors a slice of 18th-century life, and an intimate look at Vermont's most colorful—and controversial—founder.

The Society operates two museums, the Heritage Center and the R.D. Hubbard House. The Heritage Center serves as the Society's headquarters and also houses an exhibit gallery of local history displays and a research center. The R.D. Hubbard House was built in three stages—1871, 1888, and 1905—and the members of the family occupied the house for 67 years. About a quarter of what once belonged to the Hubbard family can still be found in the furniture of the home. The remainder of the furnishings are donated antiques dating to the late 1900s.
The society offers educational programs and recreational and educational events and programs; the center offers exhibits and research library access; the house offers tours.
The Society's operates a museum and several historic sites. The Wethersfield Museum features a permanent exhibition on the history of Wethersfield, with over 100 artifacts from the Society's collections, interactive components for visitors, and information on historic sites to visit in the area. Changing exhibition galleries feature the works of local artisans, artists, craft guilds, and temporary society exhibitions throughout the year. The Hurlbut-Dunham House is an elegant brick Georgian early 20th-century home. The Historic Cove Warehouse houses maritime exhibits which explore Wethersfield's role in the busy trade of the 17th and 18th centuries.
The society offers research library access, tours, educational programs, and occasional recreational and educational events; the Museum offers exhibits; the Hurlbut-Dunham House offers tours; the Warehouse offers tours and exhibits.
"The Waynesboro Historical Society is headquartered in the historic Oller House, 138 W. Main St., Waynesboro. This house was built in 1892 and is very much a part of the rich history in Waynesboro. The society offers a wealth of information for research through its library and archives including a computer database and microfilm library. The society works for the preservation of landmarks and structures in the Waynesboro area."
The Northampton County Historical and Genealogical Society has moved to a modern new facility located at 342 Northampton Street. Easton PA 18042. Members receive access and admission to the Lehigh Valley’s newest premier attraction, the Sigal Museum, the Genealogical Research Library, First Friday lectures and invitations to special social and education gatherings sponsored by the Society.
Some of the exhibits include: A life-size tree stretching through three floors, an interactive map that responds to touch. A first time exhibit showcasing the history of the Lenape Nation, the tribe that lived in what later became Northampton County, a music exhibit sponsored by guitar-maker C.F. Martin & Company, featuring locally made instruments and recordings of local music, an exhibit on industrial history, sponsored by Just Born featuring artifacts from the company’s history. The Sigal Museum also offers rental requests for meetings and gatherings.
Hours of operation are Tues. thru Saturday 9:30 to 3pm/Sunday from 12 to 4pm. Admission price is $7.00 per person, child $5.00 from ages 3-12, under 3 is free. Closed Mondays. Library hours are Tues. thru Sat. 9:30 am to 3pm. $7.00 admission price for one hour/$10 for two hour research. A conducted 2 hour staff research request on a single surname cost is $40. Suggest to call ahead for an appointment with the librarian, Jane S. Moyer. Members do get discounts on research services and admissions.
