Housed in an 1891 structure used 1962 by the Life-saving Service and then by the Coast Guard, the museum offers exhibits featuring the history of the U.S. Life-saving Service and of Ocean City. It also displays a mermaid collection, shipwreck artifacts, sands of the world, and bathing fashions. Aquariums feature local marine life.

The Bellport-Brookhaven Historical Society is devoted to the preservation and interpretation of Long Island's past—in particular, the history of the Bellport-Brookhaven-East-Patchogue area. The Museum Complex includes the 1833 Post-Crowell House, the 19th-century Ralph Brown Building, a blacksmith shop, the Barn Museum, the John Chester Memorial Boathouse, and an 1850 gazebo.

The West Concord Historical Society and Community Center is located in a former schoolhouse. The museum, with 10 display rooms of history memorabilia, is in the original schoolhouse built in 1902. The Community Center is located in an addition that was built in 1936 and includes an auditorium and additional classroom space.

The Baltimore American Indian Center (BAIC) is an urban American Indian Center established to assist and support American Indian and Alaskan Native families with moving into an urban environment and adjusting to the culture change they will experience. The BAIC also serves as a focal point for the Indian community for social and cultural activities and to educate non-native people about the cultures of the North American Indian and Alaskan Native communities.

Bainbridge House is one of the oldest surviving buildings in Princeton still on its original foundation. It is also one of the area's best-preserved examples of mid-Georgian architecture. Located on Nassau Street, the town's busiest and most historic thoroughfare, Bainbridge House is situated directly across from Princeton University. It serves as the Historical Society's headquarters, including spaces for temporary and permanent exhibitions, a small museum shop, a library, and staff offices. The House offers exhibits and research library access; the society offers walking tours, field trips, and outreach programs, as well as teacher workshops.
