The Oregon Nikkei Legacy Center presents Japanese American history and culture. Exhibit topics include historic life in Oregon and in Portland's Nihonmachi or "Japantown," the results of Executive Order 9066, Issei immigration, and modern life. The 1942 Executive Order 9066 legalized the internment of thousands of individuals of Japanese descent, also known as Nikkei. Many of those affected were second or third generation Japanese Americans. The term Issei refers to the first generation of Japanese in the U.S. The center's research library includes a collection of oral histories.

The Oregon Coast History Center seeks to preserve and share the history of Lincoln County, Oregon and the Central Oregon Coast. To this end, the society operates the Burrows House and Log Cabin. The 1895 Queen Anne-style Burrows House. The house offers exhibits on local history, a law office setting, and a Victorian parlor. The Log Cabin presents Lincoln County history, including maritime history, local bridges, and Native American life. Plans exist to create a maritime history center. Collections include more than 40,000 artifacts dating as far back as 1850. Collection highlights include the charter boat, Kingfisher.

The 1910 Arts and Crafts Ladd-Reingold House, in which the museum is located, was the home of an early 1900s milliner.

The Flavel House is located in Astoria, Oregon, and is one of the best preserved examples of Queen Anne architecture in the Northwest. The house was built in 1885 for Captain George Flavel and his family. Captain Flavel had made his fortune through real estate investments and his job as a river bar pilot. Today, the Flavel House serves as a historic house museum, and is furnished to accurately portray the elegance of the Victorian period and the history of the Flavel family.
