Bringing History Home’s SOCC Analysis Technique

Bringing History Home, a project of the University of Iowa, uses what it calls the SOCC analysis technique. Designed for elementary school students, it instructs students to source, observe, contextualize, and corroborate primary documents. Two separate SOCC guides are available: one for Document Analysis and one for Visual Analysis.
