Explore the cartographic knowledge of the world in the sixteenth century. You will be able to do all of this and more by using Library of Congress primary sources. . . .Participants will leave with strategies and materials they can use in their schools. The institute uses the Library's exhibition Exploring the Early Americas as its foundation. Learn how to make this era in history come alive for student using images, manuscripts, letters, three-dimensional objects, and maps."
