Visitors to Bartram's Garden experience America's oldest living botanical garden, a pastoral 18th-century homestead surrounded by the urban bustle of Philadelphia. They can visit the wildflower meadow, majestic trees, river trail, wetland, stone house and farm buildings overlooking the Schuylkill River, and the historic botanic garden of American native plants.

Glen Foerd is the final remaining riverfront estate within Philadelphia. Originally erected circa 1850, the residence is now most overtly Italianate in style. Residents have included Charles Macalester, businessman and broker, and Robert and Caroline Foerderer of Vici Kid, a kid skin company. Sights include the main residence, a boat house, a water tower, a carriage house, and a gate house.

The estate offers period rooms, guided tours, group tours, group tour and meal packages. Two days advance notice is needed for tours, and tours with meals require two weeks advance notice. The website offers historical photographs.

The Upper Moreland Historical Association is dedicated to the preservation of the historical heritage of Upper Moreland and Willow Grove.

The association offers walking tours of Upper Moreland and Willow Grove, speakers, and occasional bus tours of local historic sites. The website offers information regarding association programs, as well as a history of the Upper Moreland and an events calendar.

The Philadelphia Ship Preservation Guild preserves and operates two historic vessels—the 1902 barkentine Gazela and the 1902 tugboat Jupiter.

The guild offers a variety of educational programs, ranging in length between three hours and nine weeks.

The Fireman's Hall Museum, located within 1902 firehouse, presents the history of firefighting in Philadelphia; and promotes fire prevention techniques. Collections include historic firefighting apparatus and photographs.

The Cliveden National Trust Historic Site is located in the Germantown neighborhood in Philadelphia. The house served seven generations of Philadelphia's Chew family, and housed British troops during the Revolutionary War.

Today, the home serves as a historic house museum, and offers field trip programs for schoolchildren grades 3–8, and exhibits on the history of Philadelphia. The Philadelphia Society for the Preservation of Landmarks (PSPL) is dedicated towards preserving items of architectural significance in Philadelphia. For over 70 years, PSPL has played a significant role in preservation in Philadelphia by restoring and presenting to the public its historic house museums. PSPL was founded in 1931 by Frances Anne Wister, and today administers three historic houses and historic Waynesborough. In addition, PSPL offers Landmarks Exhibitions, a new initiative that "includes both special historically-based exhibitions by guest scholars, and an ongoing series of site-specific installations and experiemental performers by the innovative artists of today." PSPL is also a major supporter of the Philadelphia Orchestra, Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Philadelphia Flower Show, and the Barnes Foundation.

The Society is dedicated to preserving the rich traditions and history of the Tacony section of the City of Philadelphia.
