Freetown Village presents the history and culture of the approximately 3,000 free African Americans known to have been living in Indianapolis, Indiana in 1870. The content focus is on the Fourth Ward, which is Indianapolis' oldest African American settlement.

The village offers a summer camp for five through 14 year old children, interactive plays, spiritual music performances, and hands-on children's workshops. With the exception of the summer camp, all programs are available as outreach programming in Indiana and nearby states.

The Bayfield Heritage Association seeks to preserve and share the history of Bayfield and the Apostle Islands region, Wisconsin. To this end, the association operates the Bayfield Heritage Association Heritage Center. Key topics include settlement, logging, brownstone quarries, agriculture, fishing, tourism, and transportation.

The center offers exhibits, a period barbershop, tours, educational programs, and seminars. Upon request, the center will play filmed oral history interviews in which residents discuss when and how their families came to the area.

The Civilian Conservation Corps Interpretive Center is located in the Parker Dam State Park, and consists of a small visitor center type structure which offers displays and workshops which educated visitors about the life and times of members of the Civilian Conservation Corps.

Hood River County Historical Museum presents the socio-cultural history of Hood River County, Oregon. Topics addressed within permanent exhibits include the daily lives of pioneer, Native American, and area ethnic groups, as well as Japanese Internment after Pearl Harbor.

This unique fire museum is located in Ventura, California, and is open year round. Visitors simply walk to the outside of the museum and can view all displays and exhibits through the glass windows on the sides of the building. The museum is composed of interpretive signs and firefighting equipment designed to give visitors a glimpse into the history of firefighting.

The Huntingdon County Historical Society is dedicated to preserving the historical heritage of Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania. The society seeks to achieve this aim through special presentations and through the society's three properties, the Mc Murtrie House Museum, the 1823 Shaver's Creek Presbyterian Church, and the J.C. Blair Company Museum.

The Hall of Flame Museum of Firefighting is located in Phoenix, Arizona, and is one of the nation's largest firefighting museums. The museum has over 90 pieces of firefighting equipment on display, and is home to the National Hall of Firefighting Heroes, where firefighters who have died in the line of duty or who were decorated for heroism are honored.

The Colonial Pennsylvania Plantation is located within Pennsylvania's 2,606-acre Ridley Creek State Park. The 112-acre Colonial Pennsylvania Plantation itself is a living history farm, depicting life in the region circa 1760 through 1790. Demonstrations include food preservation, open hearth cooking, fiber processing, and farming.

The park offers 12 miles of trails, gardens, and 14 picnic areas. The plantation offers costumed living history interpreters; demonstrations; educational programs which meet state history, geography, environment, and ecology standards; workshops; lecture, demonstration, and/or hands-on outreach programs; summer camps; Scout programs; and group tours. Reservations are required for group tours, and on site educational programs are available between April and mid-November only.

The Dorset Historical Society seeks to preserve and share the history of Dorset, Vermont. To this end, the society operates the Bley House Museum. Exhibits address local artists, the Dorset marble industry, and Fenton stoneware, among other topics.
