The Andes Society for History and Culture seeks to preserve and protect the history of Andes, NY and the surrounding region. To this end, the society operates the Hunting Tavern, which has been restored to the styles of 1840 through 1850. Exhibits include the tap room where Sheriff Osman Steele enjoyed his final drink, the 1953 post office interior, and historic barn-raising tools.

The Cobblestone Society Museum is an outdoor history museum complex. An 1834 cobblestone church, 1836 parsonage, 1849 school, 1922 blacksmith shop, 1875 working printshop, 1838 harness shop, 1855 farming and agriculture exhibit hall, and a research library are located on site. The printshop, harness shop, and exhibit buildings originally served other functions. The dates indicate when the building was erected.

The Martin House Complex of Buffalo, New York is one of architect Frank Lloyd Wright's masterpieces. Completed in 1907 for Mr. and Mrs. Darwin D. Martin, the complex includes the in D. Martin House, the George F. Barton House, the Martin pergola, conservatory, carriage house and Gardener’s cottage. Currently some of the buildings are undergoing renovation.

The Chenango County Historical Society Museum presents the local history of Chenango County, NY. The museum is housed within the 1892 Ward School No. 2. Exhibits address Native American life, railways, the Chenango Canal, china, glassware, military history, costume, Victorian life, pioneer life, and local craft and medical trades. The site also includes an 1800 through 1850 period room and an 1854 schoolhouse.

Please call in cases of severe weather to ascertain that the museum is open. A fee is charged for genealogical research conducted upon request. Advance notice is requested for library use.

The Green County Historical Society operates the Bronck Museum and Vedder Research Library. The Bronck Museum consists of a complex of historic structures which previously functioned as a working farm. The complex holds a 1663 stone house, the oldest remaining residence in Upstate New York; a 1738 Hudson Valley Dutch and Federal brick house; a detached kitchen; a Victorian horse barn with exhibits of historical daily life in Green County, NY; a Dutch barn; and a thirteen-sided barn. The homes and kitchen are furnished with period pieces; china; glass; silver; and artworks by Ezra Ames, John Frederick Kensett, Ammi Philips, Richard Hubbard, Benjamin Stone, and Nehemiah Partridge. The museum also presents regional textiles, and information on both spinning and weaving. The Vedder Research Library offers primary and secondary sources for researching the history of Green County.

The Macculloch Hall Historical Museum preserves the circa 1810 residence of George Macculloch, known as the father of the Morris Canal, his immediate family, and his descendants. Collections include 18th- and early 19th-century fine and decorative art pieces from England and the U.S., as well as works by major 19th-century political cartoonist Thomas Nast (1840-1902). Nast is responsible for the Republican elephant, Democratic donkey, and the prevailing U.S. visualization of Santa Claus. The grounds hold gardens, which have been restored to their 19th-century appearance.
