The 371-acre Rosedown Plantation State Historic Site preserves the cotton plantation of Daniel Turnbull, one of the richest men in the nation during his lifetime. The 1835 plantation home still contains many of its original furnishings. The site also includes extensive gardens, a doctor's office, and a barn, as well as 10 other historic structures.

The Clearwater Historical Museum seeks to preserve and share the history of the Clearwater River country, Idaho. This area includes Clearwater, Nez Perce, Lewis, Shoshone, and Idaho Counties. Collections include Nez Perce, Chinese, gold mining, logging, medical, prehistoric, barbershop, and hotel artifacts, in addition to historic firearms, a stamp mill, and china.

The Burwell School Historic Site presents the lives of the individuals who lived within and near Burwell School during the antebellum years and the Civil War. The site includes a circa 1821 residence; circa 1837 brick necessary; and an academy for girls, the Burwell School. The school functioned between 1837 and 1857. The site was also home to more than 30 slaves, including Elizabeth Hobbes Keckly (1818-1907), who would become a close friend of Mary Todd Lincoln. Keckly eventually wrote Behind the Scenes: Thirty Years as a Slave and Four Years in the White House.

The site offers 45-minute guided tours, self-guided garden tours, a fourth-grade curriculum-based program, outreach programs for schools, a Scout program, workshops about Keckly, research library access, and research assistance.

The Historic Rogers Street Fishing Village and associated Great Lakes Coast Guard Museum is composed of five historic structures that chronicle the evolution of the fishing community of Two Rivers, WI. The 1886 pierhead lighthouse, 1887 Life Saving Station, and a 1936 wooden fishing tug are highlights of the museum's collection.

The Brierfield Ironworks Historical State Park is located in Brierfield, AL, and is the site of the Bib County Iron Works, the Confederacy's most productive Iron Works during the Civil War. Today, the Brierfield Ironworks Park consists of the ruins of the Bib Ironworks as well a many carefully reconstructed pioneer-style homes and structures.

The 1760 Georgian colonial Mount Clare Museum House once served as a plantation residence. The site was home to Charles Carrol (1737-1832), U.S. Senator and Barrister. The majority of the collection's 3,000 18th- and 19th-century pieces of furniture, artworks, decorative arts, and other artifacts are on display within the home. The site is primarily used to interpret 18th-century plantation life—that of the owners, slaves, and indentured servants.

The house offers an introductory video, tours, Scout and elementary school student tours with optional activities, outreach programs on 18th-century children's life for students, day camps, and research library access. Appointments are required for research library access and student programming. The second floor of the residence is not wheelchair accessible. To this end, the society operates three historical sites and a regional museum. The Seay House began as a Scots-Irish one-story log home, built before 1850. This residence is most like the dwelling of an average early inhabitant of the Spartansburg area. Interpretation focuses on late 19th- and early 20th-century women's lives. The circa 1795 Price House grounds also include a kitchen building and double-pen slave cabin. The home served as a residence and bed and breakfast. Interpretation focuses on the original owners, Thomas and Anne Price. The circa 1765 Walnut Grove Plantation includes a plantation home, Rocky Spring Academy, a forge, a meat house, a kitchen building, a well house, a barn, and the reconstructed office of the region's earliest physician to have received collegiate training. The site depicts area life prior to 1805. The Regional History Museum's permanent exhibits address an chronological overview of Spartansburg area developments, textiles, military history, and locally made furniture.

The Seay House offers period rooms, interpretive signage, and school tours. The Price House offers period rooms and guided tours. Walnut Grove Plantation offers guided tours of the home, kitchen, and Rocky Spring Academy; self-guided grounds tours; a nature trail; and the Moore family cemetery. The Regional History Museum offers student tours, curriculum-based programs for students, exhibits, traveling trunks, and summer camps. Reservations are required for school tours to the Seay House and for groups of 10 or more visiting the Price House and/or Walnut Grove Plantation. Visitors to the cemetery are asked to remain on the trail.
