It's mission is to preserve and interpret the birthplace of Samuel Steman Haldeman, by restoring its architecture and communicating its history." The Haldeman Mansion was placed on the Nation Register of Historic Places in 1977, and is most notable for its fantastic blend of German and Federal architectural styles. Currently, the home is undergoing a painstaking restoration designed to restore the home while preserving the architectural character of the house.
