Guiding Questions

Central to all of the planning is one basic question:

How do you ensure that the experience can both enrich teachers’ knowledge and have a positive impact back in the classroom?

Related questions get into the motivating factors for the visit, such as:

  • What is the purpose of the trip? To enrich teacher’s historical knowledge? Introduce new teaching techniques? Provide inspiration? All of the above?
  • What institutions can help meet these goals?
  • What is the best way to structure the trip? Should it be focused on a specific theme? On a specific time period? On a type of teaching strategy? Or a combination of several ideas?
